    We study queueing networks with instantaneous transitions of sequential batch departures and sequential batch arrivals. Unlike most of the existing models, this network is shown not to have a product form solution. An "extra arrival condition" is introduced under which the network is shown to possess a groduct form stationary distribution.

    In 1988, Yu . A. Alkhutov and I. T. Mamedov discussed the solvability of the Dirichlet problem for linear uniformly parabolic equations with measurable coefficients where the coefficients satisfy the condition In this paper, we try to generalize the results of Alkhutov and Mamedov to nonlinear uniformly parabolic systems of second order equations with measurable coefficients.

    Considering multiplicative Schwarz algorithm for solving algebraic obstacle problems, we show the geometric convergence of the algorithm by the use of discrete maximum principle. We also get a decay rate bound independent of the meshsize for the iterative error and illustrate the method by some numerical experiments.

    A quasi-Newton method (QNM) for solving an unconstrained optimization problem in infinite dimensional spaces is presented in this paper. We apply the QNM algorithm to an identification problem for a nonlinear system of differential equations, that is ,to identify the parameter vector q=q(t) appearing in the following system of differential equations.

    A new stabilized method is established for the Stokes equations with a zero- th term and convection. It is shown that this new methodology is stable and has an optimal error estimates for all mesh-Peclet number, allowing any combination of velocity and pressure interpolation,including the discontinuous case.

    Quasi-Newton (QN) equation plays a core role in contemporary nonlinear optimization. The traditional QN equation employs only the gradients, but ignores the function value information, which seems unreasonable. In this paper, we consider a class of DFP method with new QN equations which use both gradient and function of convergence and suprelinear convergence for these methods.

    An SIS epidemic model with a discrete delay has been investigated in this article. By means of Liapunov functional, some sufficient conditions of global stability to endemic equilibrium and disease free equilibrium have been obtained. The influen of time delay on the stability of equilibria is displayed.
