The purpose of this paper is to generalize Landscape theory proposed by R. Axelrod and, then, to apply it to the civil aviation industry for simulating alliance formations in it. Landscape theory provides a well-known agent-based simulation model for analyzing alliance(or coalition)formation process.

In this paper the author shows some artificial living systems, whose basic life characteristics are explored, especially the differentiation in evolution from single cellular to multi-cellular organism. In addition, the author discusses diversity and evoloability also.

In this paper, the problems of modeling and analyzing the system with changeable boundary are researched. First, a kind of expanding system is set up, in which the changeable boundary is dealt with as a regional boundary. Then some relative models are developed to describe the regional boundary system.

This paper is devoted to the study of the dynamical behavior and harvesting problem of an exploited population with diffusional migration, for which a protective patch is established. We examine the effects of protective patch and harvest on the population resources and conclude that the protective patch is effective for the conservation of poprlation resources and ecological environment.

This paper presents a general solution procedure and an interactive fuzzy satisfying method for a kind of fuzzy multi-objective linear programming-problems based on interval valued fuzzy sets. Firstly, a fuzzy set of the fuzzy solutions, which can be focused on providing complete information for the final decision, can be obtained by the proposed tolerance analysis of a non-dominated set.

For the two side truncated distribution family: dPθ(x) = f(x;θ1θ2)I(θ≤ x≤θ2)dx, where θ=(θ1,θ2),θ < θ2,chen & Fu studied one side asymptotic efficiency of the estimator for parameter hation g(θ) = c1θ1 + C2θ2, they pointed out that when point out that when c_1c_2>0,there exist one side asymptotic efficient eatimator for g(θ).

In this paper we will investigate the multiplicity of zero solution for a class of Abel equation, and obtain better estimation on multiplicity than that given by Alwash and Lloyd for the equation of a certain form, and solve a conjecture posed by Ye Yanqian for the equation of another form.

    A graph G is (a, b)-choosable for nonnegative integers a > b if for any given family {A(v)\v ε V(G)} of sets A(v) of cardinality a there exists a family {B(v)\v ε V(G)} of subsets B(v) A(v) of cardinality b such that B(u) B(v) =θ.

In this paper, a set of sufficient conditions is obtained for the ultimate boundedness of nonautonomous n-species diffusive Lotka-Volterra sub-models in two heterogeneous patches. The sub-models are the Lotka-Volterra tree systems, including the Lotka-Volterra tree systems, including the Lotka-Volterra chain systems and the Lotka-Volterra models between one and multispecies.

In this paper, a multivariate linear functional relationship model, where the covariance matrix of the observational errors is not restricted, is considered. The parameter estimation of this model is discussed. The estimators are shown to be a strongly consistent estimation under some mild conditions on the incidental parameters.

This paper is concerned with the continuous-time Markov decision processes (MDP) having weak and strong interactions. Using a hierarchical approach, the state space of the underlying Markov chain can be decomposed into several groups of recurrent states and a group of transient states resulting in a singularly perturbed MDP formulation.

In this paper, we use the smoothing penalty function proposed in [1] as the merit function of SQP method for nonlinear optimization with inequality constraints. The global convergence of the method is obtained.

In this paper we study the estimation of the rank of the parameter trix(RPM) in a growth curve model in the framework of model selection. Following AIC criterion we propose a new general criterion and obtain a strongly consistent estimate of the RPM.
