    In this paper, a new statistics for testing two samples coming from the same population is derived from a simple linear model with an artificial parameter. Its limit distribution is a chi-squared distribution with 2 degrees of freedom under null bypothesis and the limit distribution is a noncentral chi-squared distribution with 2 degrees of freedom under Certain sequence of alternative hypothesis.

    This paper studies a three-dimensional competition system with discrete de- lays. We prove that the time delays are harmless for uniform persistence of the solutions of the system by constructing suitable persistence functionals.

    In this paper we give a complete analysis of the convergence acceleration method for collocation solutions of Volterra nonlinear integro-differential equations with smooth kernels. It will be shown that when continuous piecewise polynomials of detree m are used and collocation is based on the lobatto points,the first derivative of this collocation approximation admits,at the knots,an error ecpansion in even powers of the step-size h,beginning with a term in h~(2m).

    In this paper the eigenvalue problem of Laplacian was investigated. Using the estimation of entropy and approximation numbers of Sobolev embeddings, we obtained asymptotic formulae of its eigenvalue counting functions on an unbounded domain (finite measure)with a fractal boundary.
